Zara Harrison
SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY ASSISTANT / NEURO REHAB ASSISTANT
Zara is BSc Speech and Language Therapy student. Before starting her degree, she worked as a community carer, where she often supported stroke survivors and those struggling with head and neck cancers. This experience ignited her passion for speech and language therapy. She then gained further experience working with children and young adults with special needs in school settings, where she deepened her understanding of communication challenges. In this role, Zara successfully led interventions, using tools such as communication devices and intensive interaction to improve children's ability to engage and express themselves.
Zara believes that building meaningful rapport with service users—while maintaining dignity and respect—is at the core of her work. Through her experiences, she has gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by individuals with communication difficulties, further solidifying her passion for speech and language therapy.
Zara has a particular interest in Dysphagia and Aphasia, and she is eager to expand her knowledge and skills in these areas. She looks forward to growing as a therapist with Linguistic Resolutions and is excited to continue making a positive impact in the lives of those she supports.
