Lucy Cuthbertson

SPECIALIST PAEDIATRIC SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)

Lucy has enjoyed a varied career across all clinical areas of speech & language therapy, supporting babies, children and adults, plus their families. This has been primarily in hospitals, offering tertiary level services for in and outpatients.

In addition, she has assessed and treated children in the community. This has been in clinics, nurseries, schools and colleges. Lucy has been an active member of RCSLT’s Clinical Excellence Networks and she has lectured at local Universities and supported students in training.

She has highly specialist experience and a clinical interest in:
-Paediatric neurorehabilitation, in particular following traumatic brain injury and neurosurgery.
-Children who have a neuromuscular condition or a neurodisability.
-Dysphagia, across all ages, including instrumental swallowing assessment and paediatric complex feeding.

-Neonates, infants and toddlers-development of drinking, eating, speech and language skills.
