SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)
Laetitia graduated from London in 2007 and has been working as a Speech and Language Therapist with adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties ever since. She has experience working in a variety of settings i.e. acute wards, stroke rehab unit, community, nursing home, and hospice, and with a variety of conditions (stroke, brain injury, progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, care of the elderly and palliative care). She is therefore well placed for understanding the clients' journey up to this point of therapy.
Laetitia has extensive experience providing assessment and goal-based intervention for a range of communication difficulties including aphasia, dysarthria, and apraxia of speech as well as neurological swallowing disorders. She regularly works with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods. She is a certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) clinician.
As a French citizen settled in the UK for over 20 years, Laetitia is passionate about functional communication, aiming to combine evidence-based treatment with the client’s own personal and functional goals in her therapy plans.
