Kate qualified in 1999 from University College London and has since worked in a variety of settings, including 12 years as Principal Speech & Language Therapist in a large inner London borough providing communication and swallowing support to people in their own homes, rehabilitation units,clinics, workplaces, colleges and care homes. In addition to extensive experience in aphasia (language impairment), dysarthria and dyspraxia (speech impairments) and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) Kate has particular interest in progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and MS, cognitive communication difficulties and old age psychiatry, including dementia. Sheis a LSVT (Lee Silverman) certified clinician and is registered with Private Medical Insurers including Bupa, AXA PPP and Exeter Friendly.
