Jennie Grassly

SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)

Jennie is a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Lecturer who has 19 years of clinical experience working in the field of adult neurorehabilitation. Jennie has worked in a wide variety of NHS and private settings; acute inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, client’s homes, nursing homes, residential homes and community settings. Jennie has worked effectively in interdisciplinary teams throughout her career.

Jennie has always been passionate about giving people with communication needs the best chance of fulfilling their potential and has pursued this passion through carrying out research and a PhD alongside her clinical work. Jennie continues to combine her clinical practice with academic work at University College London where she participates in research and lectures in the field of ‘Acquired Language and Cognitive Communication Disorders’.

Jennie’s SLT philosophy is to support clients to achieve communication goals that have meaningful impact in their lives. Jennie’s approach is to work collaboratively with her clients, and their support networks, to get to know them and find out what matters to them. Jennie works in partnership with her clients to provide highly individualised intervention, across home and community settings.
