Janey Westaway

SPECIALIST PAEDIATRIC SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)

Janey completed her MSc in speech and language therapy at Newcastle University. She then moved to London where she started working in the NHS in Hackney, in their Early Years and Mainstream Schools services, providing speech and language therapy to children with a range of needs including speech sound and articulation disorders, social communication difficulties, cerebral palsy, developmental language disorder, and disintegrative childhood disorder. Janey recently moved to West London for a part-time NHS role specialising in children with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and complex needs. Throughout her career, Janey has worked across different settings including mainstream schools, clinics, specialist nurseries, and children’s homes. 

Janey is confident and experienced in working with children, their families, and a wide range of other health and education professionals. Janey has a passion for working with children with complex needs and enabling them to reach their full potential. 

Janey additionally holds certification in Makaton.
