Carolanna Rodriguez
SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)
Carolanna completed her BSc (hons) in Speech and Language Therapy at City University in 2012. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of community settings including special schools, private clinics and within the NHS. Carolanna specialises in working with children with a range of communication and dysphagia needs associated with complex conditions including Down Syndrome, Autism, Paediatric Acquired Brain Injury and Cerebral Palsy.
Carolanna currently works within the Ealing Community Services NHS Trust, providing SLT input for children in the years with complex needs and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) in their homes and specialist nursery settings. Carolanna also works within the Multidisciplinary Autism assessment Service in Ealing, supporting families along their journey pre-, mid- and post-diagnosis.
Carolanna is passionate about supporting children to develop meaningful, functional communication skills and is dedicated to working collaboratively with the important people in a young person’s life- such as families and educational staff - through training and joint working, in order to help them feel empowered with their own skill in supporting their child to achieve this.
