SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)
Anna is a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in adult neurology. She has a wide range of experience working with people with acquired and progressive communication and swallowing difficulties, in both hospital and rehabilitation settings. She has worked closely with people who have had strokes, brain injuries, neurosurgery, hypoxia (oxygen deprivation) during cardiac arrest, and people with progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
Anna’s areas of interest and expertise include: aphasia (language difficulties), dysarthria and apraxia (speech difficulties), cognitive communication difficulties and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties).
Anna is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who places wellbeing and quality of life at the centre of her therapy. She enjoys working collaboratively with people and their support networks to achieve goals that are meaningful to them. She keeps up to date with the latest research in the field to ensure that therapy approaches are evidence-based and effective.
